Incident Date: 12/26/06 Time: Approximately 7-9 PM Location: Mentor, OH This sighting was initially reported to UFOs Northwest and was forwarded to CUP. B.B. writes "It seemed to be a low-flying plane at first, but the closer I got in my car, the more I realized that it wasn't moving at all. It was triangularly shaped, had flashing lights (white, and a couple red), but it was way too low and large to be a plane not to mention that it was not moving at all. There is no tower anywhere nearby. Large triangle. " "I was driving on Rt. 84 (Johnnycake Rd, I believe) [east-bound], and I was looking approximately north, but the object seemd close in proximity, very close but north of 84. Again, it wasn't in a fixed point in the sky since it was pretty close, so I actually drove past it. I'd say it was at about 60 degrees high, and I saw it for about a minute, from the time I first saw until i drove past and it was out of sight."  Lost Nation Municipal Airport (LNN) is nearby where this sighting took place. Although flashing lights were seen which is typical of aircraft, the description that the object was a large triangle, low to the ground and not moving is anomalous.
