A woman was driving home late on Thursday March 3rd when she noticed a
strange object in the sky. She was driving south on Broadview Rd. in
Parma and was stopped at the light at Pleasant Valley Rd. when she
noticed the object. It was moving slowly in an eastward direction and
then stopped to hover over the Topps grocery store in the shopping
center at the corner of Broadview and Pleasant Valley.
The object is estimated as being about 200 feet to 300 feet above the
ground.
As the woman drove south the object moved south as well. The object
then crossed over Broadview Rd. as she drove underneath. She pulled
into the parking lot next to the beverage store at the corner of
Broadview Rd. and Sprague Rd. as the object stopped to hover over a car
wash across the street. She remained in the car as she observed the
object. She states "It just comes to a dead stop and sits there." She
said that nobody else seemed to notice the object.
The object is described as having an oval shaped bottom whose ends are
slightly warped downward. On top of the oval were two box type
structures like a mulitlayered cake. There was a very bright white
light shining outward from one of the longer edges of the object. There
were also blue and green lights seen on the object but the locations of
the lights were unclear to the witness.
The sighting lasted about 6 minutes (until about 10:45pm) when the
object moved rapidly northward and out of sight.
She reported that she didn't hear any sound coming from the object. The
weather was clear and cold (about 10-15 degrees F)
Here is a sketch of the object from the witness:
It is remakably similar to an object that was reported in June 1984 in
the Mediterranean Sea:
